I suspect the old Everything 1.4 association still exists under:

The installer should remove this old key when enabling EFU associations.
To fix the issue:

The installer should remove this old key when enabling EFU associations.
To fix the issue:
- In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the General tab on the left.
- Uncheck EFU file association.
- Click Apply.
- [✓] tick-check EFU file association.
- Click OK.
