Sorry to hear about the server crash.

Please make a backup of your Everything.db as soon as possible.



If the server files/folders are still visible in Everything, please do a EFU file list export:

• In Everything, search for your server share or drive, eg: \\server\share or j:
• From the File menu, click Export...
• Change Save as Type to EFU Everything file list.
• Choose a filename and click Save.

To save the filenames as text from your Everything.db from Everything 1.4:
Please use the db2efu tool.



To save the filenames as text from your Everything.db from Everything 1.5:

• In Everything 1.5, from the File menu, click Open File List....
• Select your Everything.db and click Open.
• Search for your server share or drive, eg: \\server\share or j:
• From the File menu, click Export...
• Change Save as Type to EFU Everything file list.
• Choose a filename and click Save.

I use WinDiff to compare EFU file lists.

Everything has basic options to compare file lists.

To show new files:

• In Everything 1.5, search for:
  
  filelist1: !filelist2:
• Right click filelist1: and click Edit File List Slot...
• Import your new file list and click OK.
• Right click filelist2: and click Edit File List Slot...
• Import your old file list and click OK.
