In what way? I have Terabytes of files, and that backup is just a fraction.

The EFU file list is just the filenames and indexed properties.
Not the content of the files.



Is the dying drive an NTFS drive?
-If the drive sometimes works, just add it to your index:
In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the NTFS tab.
Uncheck Automatically remove offline volumes.
Select your dying drive and check Include in database.
Click OK.

Let Everything reindex, which might take ages, but the drive will stay indexed, even when its dismounted.

Sorry for not understanding the whole thing. For example, how do i have 1.2 million elements already, but indexing started anyway?

What is the drive of the file being indexed?
