Admittedly I don't remember why I chose to run as administrator, but I do recall having a reason at the time. Out of curiosity, can I confirm that running Everything as a Standard User would be just as effective in this case as modifying the IFilters in this case?
I've modified the filetypes for content indexing and will implement the other suggestions shortly.
