Sorry to hear that!
A Bluescreen Of Death (BSOD) is quite uncommon these days and if it occurs, it is almost always related to hardware issues or driver issues.
If Everything is still the cause, I suspect a corrupt database. To fix:
- Completely exit Everything by right-clicking its systemtray icon => Exit
- Go to the location of the Everything database. Typically this would be %LOCALAPPDATA%\Everything
(You can paste this in Explorer's address bar)
- Delete the .db file (and the .tmp file, if it exists)
- Start Everything.
If that doesn't fix the issue, try one or more of the following:
- Unmount any non-standard volumes/disks
- Close all non-Microsoft system utilities that hook deep into the system
(to eliminate interference)
- Run MemTest
- Update video drivers
- Check for disk corruption
