If and as long as Everything 1.5 Alpha is used, you can create the file: NO_ALPHA_INSTANCE (without file extension)
in the program directory.
Then the 'Everything Service' will always be called 'Everything', even with multiple instances or versions.

In my opinion, uninstalling the 'Everything Service' due to a version change is also not necessary at the moment.
I am aware of two solutions in which the Everything Service is only temporarily stopped but not uninstalled:
1. Everything.ini - OR -
2. Bookmark with Keyboard shortcut: ALT+X (my preferred variant)
